My Latest Project:
THE BRIGHTON FILM OFFICE
The Brighton Film Office is a network in Brighton created for filmmakers of all levels. We focus on mapping Brighton’s film industry in its entirety and creating a database of all operating businesses within the city’s film industry, whilst conducting interviews with prominent local figures to construct a coherent impression of Brighton's filmmaking ecosystem.
I have conducted this live project alongside The Brighton Film Office, to research the potential impacts that producing this network will have on the creators working in the city.
Carolynn Reddel, Duke of York's Picturehouse Cinema
“I feel that the sections of film are quite disconnected - from the filmmaking to distributing, as well as other creative industries like fine art, writing etc. If there was more of a hub that became a community that supported each other, especially new artists.”
Amber Rose Morgan, Freelance Filmmaker
"It would be good to have everything in one place, regarding the film scene in Brighton."
Beth Bayes, YouTuber and Brighton Film School Student
"I think film networks are a great way for emerging film makers to show their work, get themselves known and hopefully attract work on bigger projects. It's also a great way to make contacts with other people in the industry"
Undertaking important research and mapping the local film industry for accurate directory information.
Drafting blog posts and interviewing local figures for upcoming content. Contacting local businesses and individuals for potential content.
Managing social media
Managing the Brighton Film Office's Facebook and Instagram profiles. Keeping on top of direct messages and engaging with our audience.
CONNECTING THE CITY
Spreading the word about our community and gaining first-hand feedback from professionals, students and residents of the city.
